A win.

A few months ago, I had the privilege of participating in the Innovation Competition conducted by my department. I entered the event with immense enthusiasm, determined to present an idea that was both deeply personal and directly relevant to the environment I inhabit. As a student of a vast and vibrant institution like Madras Christian College, I sought inspiration from my immediate experiences. Drawing from my own knee injury, I conceptualised Curatia, an app designed with empathy, practicality, and contextual relevance.

My journey toward developing this idea was transformative. I explored the intricacies of building a product from the ground up—understanding user needs, refining features, and studying its broader impact. This endeavour opened several meaningful doors for me. I had the honour of interacting with distinguished alumni, including a PM from Zoho and a successful entrepreneur, whose insights were invaluable.

The competition itself was a celebration of creativity. I was genuinely inspired by the ingenuity of my peers who competed alongside me. My joy multiplied when my friend Preethi secured the first place. Her dedication, meticulous preparation, and compelling presentation made her victory truly well-deserved. I am equally proud of my dear friends Pingala, Jerbin, and Adwaitha, whose innovative contributions added immense depth to the event.

I write this not merely because I secured the second place, but because this experience represents a personal triumph. After years of feeling creatively dormant, stepping into something so challenging—and seeing it bear fruit—was profoundly rewarding. It reminded me of the thrill of striving, creating, and ultimately succeeding. And for that, I am truly grateful.

Thank you,
Meera ma'am for your constant guidance,

Rufus sir for your encouragement.

Kitty for your name suggestions,
Preethi, Pingala, Jerbin, Adwaitha and all the participants for their efforts,
May we all have an illustrious and fruitful future.
