For me, 

Compassionate, resourceful and esteemed professors like SR Sir play a major role in motivating us students to attempt something like a research paper. The inputs I got from meetings with Rufus sir, dialogues with Wesley sir and classes with DC ma'am gave me a better understanding of what we are supposed to do as we prepare a research paper.

As a reticent student since my 6 th grade, 

I could reach the professors through 

mentor-mentee meetings as well as CA 2 assignments.

So the introduction of this idea to the mentees by professors could be a great start.

But a lot of my peers are unaware of the concept of paper presentation or research paper...I got the idea through a few of my seniors. 

I guess students need to start talking with eachother about it and learn more through other sources.
