Look at me when I'm smiling
Hey,
I'm thankful that I am smiling,
I can assure myself
That I have smiled more than I have cried.
Touchwood.
Ofcourse, tears are part and parcel
Of this journey,
But I am someone that hides that part.
I don't know if I should be proud of that.
So close your eyes
When my eyes brim with tears.
To be able to receive and give traces
Of love, of care, of some smile.
That's what life is about, I would say.
A silver island with golden corals
But there's scrap, a lot.
But it's a tangible hurdle.
I now understand why I am here.
The core of this coral island,
It's us, my people,
feels like I was born for this
I just hope that we get
Blinded by love in the toughest nights.
Fight through the piercing heat.
A calm place with morning breeze
Strong coffee and lime tea with windy evenings
A look of smile, a small song
Stories blending in.
A hundred years it felt before this
But the corals, they make it faster
But each mini second is precious.
It shouldn't be wasted.
